R&D: The Library of Superpowers

We test our latest adventure with digital technology at the egg theatre’s Incubator Showcase.

As robots replace the human workforce, what space is there for neurodiversity? Meet Roberta, a dyslexic robot that feels invisible but has a unique set of skills to offer the world.

We have been working in partnership with creative technology company, Copper Candle, to investigate new ways to represent a dyslexic experience using AR (augmented reality).

We’ll be presenting the results of our Research & Development period with a work in progress at the egg theatre’s Incubator 2023 showcase. Using an emerging concept for a show, we plan to share the constraints and opportunities we’ve discovered for digital tech in immersive, site-specific, participatory work.

We have a long way to travel but we are really excited bout the journey. With a dyslexic robot operating the satnav, who knows what wonderful places we’ll end up! Incubator is chance for you to share your thoughts on the project so far, and we’re particularly interested to hear your suggestions about how we should take it forward.
